Pares is a popular street food among Filipinos who crave for a quick good meal. It is commonly available in street stalls or small neighborhood restaurants and eateries (carinderia) which specialize in economical meals for local residents.
It consists of beef brisket, boiled for hours until tender, then cooked with special blend of spices and served with garlic fried rice.
